This was a school project done in junior semester. The aim of this project is to design a residential building with first floor as retail located on the edge of University of Illinois. The requirement for this project was to design a residntial building/complex for less than six levels with connection to the boneyard creek, which is just facing the site.

The concept of my design was aimed to create building blocks that is isolated private area, while have corridors and terraces connecting all the blocks to have a semi outdoor space for communictaion and connection. In total there will be four level of privacy: street, green space in the middle, corridor/terrace, and units. The heights of block complex is made to have equally view to green space and sunlight from units, this is why blocks in the front is only two levels tall, and the blocks in the back is four level.
